Ingredients

1/3 cup Onuku UMF5+ Mānuka Honey

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/12 cups oats

½ tespoon vanilla

½ cup chopped peanuts

½ cup chocolate drop chips

 

Directions

1.     Blend in a bowl combine honey, peanut butter, oats and vanilla.

2.     Form into small balls (3 centimetre).

3.     Combine peanuts and chocolate chips, and roll balls in mixture until coated.

4.     Store in refrigerator.

5.     Enjoy!!

Mānuka Honey Wound Dressing

How do you apply UMF20+ - UMF 25+ Mānuka Honey to wounds?

1.     Select the correct dressing for your wound.

2.     Always start with clean hands and applicators.

3.     Apply a liberal amount of Mānuka Honey to the dressing.

4.     Apply the dressing to the wound, replace dressing with drainage from the wound saturates the dressing.

5.     You should see results in as little as seven days.

Lime Mojito With Honey

Mojito cocktails are very refreshing any time of year but especially when the temperatures rise because their minty, yet tart flavor adds a cooling effect with the kick of the alcohol.

Ingredients:

  • 8 mint leaves, fresh

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) lime juice (or lime wedges from about a third of a lime)

  • 1 jigger (1.5 ounces) 80-proof white rum

  • Club soda

  • Garnish: fresh mint sprig

Steps:

  1. Put mint, a splash of club soda, and the honey into the bottom of a highball glass or Tom Collins glass (if you like lots of ice and club soda). Muddle by mashing the ingredients together. Traditionally, a muddler, which looks like a miniature wooden baseball bat, is used, but the handle of a wooden spoon or spatula works fine.

  2. Squeeze the juice of the lime into the glass. Add the rum, stirring well.

  3. Fill the glass about three-quarters of the way full with ice. Top off with club soda. Stir and enjoy. 

Mānuka Peppermint Tea

Ingredients:

  • A squeeze of Mānuka Honey

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 hand full of fresh mint leaves (around 1/2 cup)

Method:

  1. Pour boiled water into a teapot or bowl and add fresh mint leaves, saving a few sprigs for garnishing, and cover. Steep for more than 5 minutes.

  2. Pour the tea into a mug, straining the mint leaves.

  3. Add a squeeze of Manuka Honey. Finish off with leftover fresh mint for extra taste and garnishing, if desired.

  4. Chill the tea and blend up some ice in a high-powered blender. Combine the two, and you’ve created a Manuka mint snow cone!

Warm honey, lemon and ginger drinks have long been the go-to home remedy for sore throat relief. Adding Manuka Honey with natural antibiotic qualities will bring more health benefits and a richer taste.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups water

  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon

  • 1 piece ginger, 1-2 inches (2-4cm)

  • A squeeze of Manuka Honey

METHOD

  1. Bring water to a boil and remove from heat.

  2. Slice lemon and ginger into thin pieces, and add to the hot water.

  3. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes.

  4. Strain and pour tea into a mug.

  5. Add your squeeze of Capilano Manuka Honey, stir, and serve.

Honey Berries Cake

Honey Berries Cake

Unbelievably easy to make with only 10 ingredients, this can be enjoyed warm or cold. Serve it warm to unexpected guests as dessert or whip it up while the kids are at kindy!

Ingredients:

Blueberries - 10-12
Powdered sugar - 1 tablespoon
Honey - 1/2 cup
Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
Curd - 1/2 Cup
Eggs - 2
Lime - ½
Flour - 2 cups
Salt - ½ tablespoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps:


Firstly sugar coat all the blueberries on a plate.
Take a large bowl.
Add curd, 2 eggs, squeeze half a lime.
Add flour and salt and using a hand blender or a spoon, mix all these ingredients together.
Finally add sugar-coated blueberries into the batter.

Grease a dish with oil.
Fill batter to the half of the dish, as it will rise.
Bake for about 30 min and let it cool completely later.
Cut into slices.

Mānuka Honey Pancakes

Mānuka Honey Pancakes

Ingredients

3/4 raisins

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup self raising flour

1/4 cup milk

13g butter, melted

1/2 bananas

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tbs honey

1/2 eggs

Method

Step 1 of 4

Sift flour, cinnamon and baking powder into a bowl. In a jug, whisk together eggs, milk, Manuka honey and the melted butter. Pour into flour mixture and then add banana. Using a wooden spoon, stir well to mix together.

Step 2 of 4

Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium-low heat. Brush with a little of the melted butter and spoon in 2 tbs of the batter. Cook for about 2 mins until holes begin to appear on the top.

Step 3 of 4

Turn over and cook the other side for about 1 minute or until golden. Remove to a plate and cover with a clean tea towel to keep warm.

Step 4 of 4

Serve on the top of a stack of pancakes with raisins. Drizzle with a little extra honey.

Mānuka Honey Cough Syrup


Ingredients:

1 litre of water

1 part mānuka honey

½part fresh tyme leaves

½ part chopped root ginger

 

Method:

Put thyme and ginger in a saucepan and cover with the water. Slowley bring to a boil, then immediately reduce the heat to a simmer. Simmer gently for 20-30 minutes. Allow to cool slightly, then strain mixture into a clean jug. Add mānuka honey. Mix well, allow to cool, then store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Ingredients

125g Butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1/4 cup mānuka honey

1 banana

1 cup wholemeal flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp ground cinamon

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup walnuts

Directions

Heat oven to 160°C fan bake. Grease a standard loaf tin and line with baking paper.

  1. Place butter and sugar in a bowl and beat until pale and creamy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Beat in the honey and mashed banana.

  2. Fold in the flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Lastly, fold in the walnuts. Spoon into prepared loaf tin and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
