Manuka Honey Glazed Donuts 🍯🍩
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup whole milk
2 large eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup Manuka honey
For the Glaze:
1/2 cup Manuka honey
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper for baked donuts.
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
Combine the Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and Manuka honey until well combined.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fill the Donut Pan:
Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the Manuka honey, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Glaze the Donuts:
Dip each cooled donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off, and place them back on the wire rack to set.
Tips:
Storage: Store glazed donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
Frying Option: For a classic fried donut, heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides, then drain on paper towels before glazing.
These Manuka honey glazed donuts are a sweet and satisfying treat, perfect for breakfast or dessert! 🍯🍩
